This Privacy Policy explains how Putt Lab ("we," "our," or "the app") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our mobile application and related services.1. Information We Collect
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your email address, username, and password credentials via Supabase authentication.Profile & Customization Data: You may choose to provide additional profile details, including your display name, player avatar/photo, putting stances, division, and optional third-party payment handles (e.g., Venmo or CashApp handles for league payout reference).Gameplay & Statistical Data: We record putting attempts, makes, misses, practice scores across all game modes (such as Circle 60, Survivor, Ladder, and Jack of All Trades), daily challenge progress, achievements, and virtual currency ("Links") balances.League Activity: If you create or join putting leagues, we collect league rosters, station setups, round scores, and leaderboard placements.Device & Diagnostic Data: We collect crash logs, performance diagnostics, and user telemetry (via PostHog) to identify bugs and improve app stability. If you enable push notifications, we store an Expo push notification token associated with your profile.Local Storage: Certain preferences (such as theme selections and haptic toggles) and temporary offline match queues are saved locally on your device using AsyncStorage.2. How We Use Your Information
Core Gameplay & Syncing: To calculate your putting statistics, sync practice history across your devices, update virtual Links balances, and manage in-app achievements.Multiplayer & Leagues: To display leaderboards, match player wagers, and allow league organizers to run live sessions.Push Notifications: To alert you when you receive friend requests, wager challenges, or league updates (you may disable push notifications at any time in the app settings).Analytics & Performance: To monitor application health, track crash logs, and evaluate feature performance.3. Third-Party Service Providers
We rely on trusted third-party service providers to handle infrastructure, data storage, and analytics:Supabase: Cloud database hosting, user authentication, and data synchronization.PostHog: Product telemetry, error tracking, and crash analysis.Expo / Apple Push Notification service (APNs) / Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM): Push notification routing and token handling.RevenueCat / Apple App Store / Google Play: In-app purchase processing and subscription management. We do not process, collect, or store your credit card or billing details directly.4. Public Profile & Privacy Settings
Profile Visibility: By default, other players in your leagues or friends list may view your Player Card (displaying level, career highs, and stance metrics).Privacy Toggle: You can toggle your profile to "Private" in the app's Settings screen at any time, which restricts other players from viewing your detailed career metrics and high scores.Peer Payout Links: Any Venmo or CashApp handles you provide in your profile are used strictly to generate external deep links for league winners and are visible to league organizers. Putt Lab does not process peer-to-peer monetary transactions.5. In-App Currency & Wagers
"Links" are a virtual, in-app utility currency earned through practice challenges or unlocked within the app. Links hold no real-world monetary value, cannot be redeemed for legal tender, and are strictly intended for entertainment and cosmetic unlocks within the Putt Lab application.6. Data Retention and Account Deletion
Account Deletion: You have the right to permanently delete your account and all associated personal data at any time directly inside the app under Settings > Danger Zone > Delete Account Forever. Initiating account deletion permanently removes your profile, match history, and authentication records from our database.Local Cache: You can clear cached local data at any time via Settings > Troubleshooting > Clear Local Cache without affecting your cloud-backed data.7. Children's Privacy
Putt Lab does not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under the age of 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has provided personal data, we will promptly delete that information from our records.8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
