Welcome to Putt Lab ("we," "our," or "us"). This page contains both our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Service (End User License Agreement) governing your use of the Putt Lab mobile application (iOS and Android) and website (https://putt-lab.com).PART I: PRIVACY POLICY
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the minimum information necessary to provide our disc golf putting training, analytics, social, and tournament management features:Account & Profile Information (Optional Cloud Account): You may use Putt Lab in Offline Mode without creating an account. If you choose to create a Cloud Account, we collect your email address, username, encrypted password, and optional profile details you choose to provide (such as display name, hometown/location, PDGA number, primary putting stance, putters used, profile photo/avatar, and optional Venmo or CashApp handles for league prize ledgers).Gameplay & Performance Data: We store your putting statistics, match history, achievements, unlocked cosmetics, virtual currency balance ("Links"), and tournament/league scores locally on your device and, if logged in, synced to our secure cloud database.Purchase & Subscription History: All financial transactions for subscriptions (Putt Lab Standard and Putt Lab Pro) and consumable virtual items (Links) are processed directly by Apple (App Store) or Google (Google Play) and validated via RevenueCat. We never collect, see, or store your credit card numbers, bank account details, or billing info.Device & Usage Analytics: We use PostHog to collect anonymized app usage metrics (such as screens visited, game modes played, and feature popularity) and crash/error diagnostics so we can fix bugs and improve app stability.Push Notification Tokens: If you grant notification permissions, we store an Expo Push Token linked to your profile solely to send you alerts regarding friend wager challenges and live league updates. You can disable push notifications at any time in the in-app Settings screen or your device's system settings.Camera Roll / Photo Library Access: If you choose to upload a custom profile avatar, we request permission to select an image from your device's photo library. We only access the specific image you select.2. How We Use & Share Your Information
We never sell or rent your personal data to third parties or advertisers, and we do not track you across third-party apps or websites. We share data only with the trusted infrastructure providers required to operate the app:Supabase: Secure cloud authentication and PostgreSQL database hosting.RevenueCat: Subscription entitlement and in-app purchase receipt validation.PostHog: Error reporting and product analytics.Expo (Push Notification Service): Delivering real-time gameplay and wager notifications.3. Profile Visibility & Social Features
By default, other Putt Lab users who search your username or view a shared League Leaderboard can view your public Player Card (username, level, badges, and career highs). You can toggle "Private Profile" ON at any time in the in-app Settings screen to hide your career highs and putting statistics from other players.4. Data Retention & In-App Account Deletion
You have full control over your data. You can permanently delete your Cloud Account and all associated personal data, match history, and profile records at any time directly inside the app:Open the Settings tab in Putt Lab.Scroll to the Danger Zone section and tap "Delete Account Forever".Confirm the deletion. Your account credentials, profile, and statistics are immediately and permanently erased from our cloud database and your local device.5. Children’s Privacy
Putt Lab is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.PART II: TERMS OF SERVICE (EULA)
By downloading, accessing, or using Putt Lab, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.1. Subscriptions & Auto-Renewal
Putt Lab offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions (Putt Lab Standard and Putt Lab Pro) available on a Monthly or Yearly billing cycle:Payment: Payment will be charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase (or at the conclusion of any applicable free trial period).Auto-Renewal: Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current billing period.Management & Cancellation: You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time by going to your device's App Store / Google Play Account Settings after purchase. Deleting the app or deleting your Putt Lab cloud account does not automatically cancel an active App Store or Google Play subscription; you must cancel it in your device's subscription settings.Upgrades: If you upgrade from Putt Lab Standard to Putt Lab Pro, Apple/Google will automatically transition your plan and apply any applicable prorated credit according to their respective store policies.2. Virtual Currency ("Links" ⛓️) & Friend Wagers
No Real-World Monetary Value: "Links" (⛓️) are a purely virtual in-app entertainment item earned through putting practice or purchased as a consumable in-app item. Links have no real-world monetary value, are not property, and cannot be redeemed, exchanged, cashed out, or transferred for real money, goods, or services under any circumstances.In-App Friend Wagers: The Social Hub allows users to wager virtual Links on head-to-head putting challenges. These challenges involve virtual Links only and do not constitute real-money gambling.Finality of Sales: All purchases of consumable Links bundles are final and non-refundable, except as required by applicable law or Apple/Google store policies. If you delete your account, any unused Links or unlocked cosmetics are permanently forfeited.3. Live Leagues & External Payout Links (Venmo / CashApp)
Putt Lab Pro provides scorekeeping, bracket generation, and pot-calculation tools for local disc golf putting leagues.Putt Lab Does Not Process League Prize Money: Putt Lab never collects, holds, escrows, or distributes real money for leagues or tournaments.For convenience, players may optionally display their Venmo or CashApp handle on their profile, and League Directors may tap deep links that open external third-party payment apps (Venmo or CashApp). Any transfer of funds outside of Putt Lab is conducted solely between the individual users at their own risk, and users are solely responsible for complying with all local laws and regulations regarding local league entry fees and prizes. Putt Lab bears no liability for any disputes, unpaid prizes, or errors occurring on third-party payment platforms.4. User-Generated Content (Community Feedback Board)
Users may post feature requests, comments, and usernames within the app. You agree not to post content that is abusive, harassing, defamatory, obscene, spam, or unlawful.Users can flag inappropriate posts using the in-app Report button. Posts receiving multiple community reports are automatically hidden pending review, and we reserve the right to remove any content or terminate accounts that violate these guidelines without notice.5. Health, Safety & Assumption of Risk
Disc golf and putting practice involve physical activity and throwing sporting equipment. Always be aware of your surroundings, other people, and property when practicing. You assume all risks of injury or property damage associated with your physical practice sessions.6. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability
Putt Lab is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Putt Lab and its creator shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, virtual items, or profits arising out of your use of the application.7.
